15 Urui F.A. 15

The portion of the party below Mound C (Sindawe, Ardaer, Dirdan, Melvin, and Kelvin) were able to deal with the bandits not caught in Dirdan's sleep spell and then turn their attention to finishing off the unconscious ones.  They decided to make their way south and check their theory that the mounds were connected underground.

Back on the surface, Elyanis took a quick look down the stairs the bandits had been guarding on Mound A. Sticking her head below, she saw four wights staring at a wall on the southeastern end of the chamber. The wights pivoted their heads to look at her, but then resumed looking at the wall. She did not have time to investigate this further as she and Elwin needed to move back to Mound C to join the rest of the group in the fight against the bandits charging from Mound B and the wights following Tulip into the camp through the north gate.

She reached Mound C as the bandits from Mound B managed to engage the front ranks of the fellowship in melee. As the wights began to move in from the north, Eowic and another contingent of bandits climbed out of Mound F. As his men charged towards Mound C from the south, Eowic began peppering the fellowship with well-aimed arrows. Folulf was hit in the neck, paralyzing him.

Meanwhile, the group below ground made its way to the chamber below Mound E. They noticed a large pile of treasure in an adjoining chamber to the east, but decided to check go up the stairs to see what was happening on the surface.

The wights hit Mound C hard, not discriminating between the bandits and the fellowship. The group on the mound was surrounded, with bandits attacking from the south and east, and the wights attacking from the north. They were also taking horrifically accurate fire from Eowic, who had moved up between Mounds E and D. Tulip started leading an orderly retreat down the stairs, but Elyanis and Elwin fell beneath the combined attacks of the bandits and the wights before they could escape.

Dirdan emerged from Mound E to find Eowic a short distance away, firing on his friends. He cast a charm spell on Eowic and had him order his men to start attacking the wights. As the wights closed on the Mound E, and the fellowship hustled to form up on the surface to meet them, the party looked on in horror as two of the wights carried the still forms of Elyanis and Elwin down the stairs into Mound A.

Traveller : Session 53

This session was run on January 18, 2024.   220-1118   In the morning, they decided to take the Gerald Masters interview job. Marvin was still too hung over from the night before and had to beg off for the day. They spread out through the station looking for prospective interviewees. Simmi was fairly successful, finding three people willing to be interviewed. She was surprised to learn that most of them were worried that having the fleet there would attract violent attention from the Solomoni instead of providing protection. Aryanna found two people willing to be interviewed, both of which seemed resentful of the large numbers of Navy personnel wandering around the station. M'han was unable to find anyone who would let him interview them.   Zarf attempted to interview a few men in a bar and almost caused a fight because he was asking too many questions. Another patron stepped in at the last minute and started talking about the ...

Wilderlands: Dabber

Below is my adaptation of the Dabber race from Gamma World for my Castles & Crusades Wilderlands game. I believe that the picture is from the Alternity version of Gamma World. This adaptation has not been subjected to any significant playtesting yet.

Harn: AW Session Recap

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of being a player in a one-shot set in Harn's Orbaal region using the  Apocalypse World rules. While I have been reading up on Harn for a while, this was my first chance to actually participate in a game set on Harn. I have never played core Apocalypse World before, but I have run Dungeon World several times, so I was familiar with the basic rules concepts. The characters were: Taebaal: the Valkhar Bjaal: One of Taebaal's trusted men Molvid: An extremely mercenary viking (Me) Waede: A Jorin rebel against the Ivinian occupiers Fester: A healer Mycroft: An orphan who seems connected to Waede Molvid's adventure started while out on a boar hunt with Taebaal and Bjaal. While walking in the woods, he came across Waede, Fester, and Mycroft standing over a dead body laying in the snow. They were armed and there was a crate of swords next to the body. When questioned, they told Molvid that the dead man had jumped them and that the c...
