Traveller : Session 53

This session was run on January 18, 2024.   220-1118   In the morning, they decided to take the Gerald Masters interview job. Marvin was still too hung over from the night before and had to beg off for the day. They spread out through the station looking for prospective interviewees. Simmi was fairly successful, finding three people willing to be interviewed. She was surprised to learn that most of them were worried that having the fleet there would attract violent attention from the Solomoni instead of providing protection. Aryanna found two people willing to be interviewed, both of which seemed resentful of the large numbers of Navy personnel wandering around the station. M'han was unable to find anyone who would let him interview them.   Zarf attempted to interview a few men in a bar and almost caused a fight because he was asking too many questions. Another patron stepped in at the last minute and started talking about the ...

Traveller: Session 52

This session was run on January 4, 2024. 212-1118   One evening, while in jumpspace en route to Hewes, Zarf noticed a ticking sound coming from the briefcase "Mr. Johnson" hired them to transport from Gyration to Westfir. Aryanna ran some tests on it and could not detect any radiation, electronic or otherwise, coming from the case. She also noted that the surface of the briefcase was at ambient temperature. They briefly discussed pushing the briefcase out of the airlock, but decided that it might be some kind of test and settled on monitoring the case to see what developed.   213-1118   At 1 AM, Hal, who was on briefcase watch at the time, heard one, single beep from the case. He alerted the others, and they gathered to watch the camera feed they had set up of the case.   At 2 AM, the case beeped again.   At 2:50 AM, the case beeped again.   At this point Aryanna and Simmi grew concerned that the be...

Traveller: Session 51

This session was run on December 14, 2023. 192-1118 When the travellers arrived at Gyration, knowing that the system only had a Class D starport, they proceeded directly to the gas giant to begin refueling operations. While scooping hydrogen from the upper levels of the gas giant they spread Arenui’s ashes in orbit. The droyne had been quite taken with the idea of a planet named Gyration, so they felt they were doing what he would have wanted with his remains. While inbound to the mainworld, they used the system-wide net to find a broker in hopes of finding a good deal for their open cargo space. They were unable to find a deal they thought was fair before they made landfall. Once on the surface, they discovered that Gyration was a small, airless, desert world. Its population of two million lives in domes on the surface. Immediately after disembarking, they were confronted with large pictures of the Glorious Leader Hemphstaid III. An audio message blared out a warning that...

This session was run on November 30, 2023. 173-1118 They decided to see what jobs were available on Daazu in order to make som extra money between jumps. They found three patrons looking for help. The first, Steven Brachen, the captain of the Duke Leto , an 800 ton passenger liner, was looking for help repairing his ship. He had picked up a lucrative doom trade contract in Sol Sector to transport some nobles away from a doomed world. He collided with some debris when entering Daazu orbit and damaged the streamlining on his ship. Because of the damage, he was not able to land on Daazu and refuel. As his robotic crew was not skilled in welding, he was looking for travellers that could fix the damage to his ship. The second, Kresh, was a Vargr looking for a set of travellers with a "very specific set of skills" to handle a job for him on Opheim, a nearby world. Intrigued, they decided to contact Kresh to learn more about his job. The third, Coorslint Fabrics, was lo...
